NTTU Students Enter the 27th Euréka Scientific Research Contest
In 2025, a group of students of the class of 2023 majoring in Chinese Language, Faculty of Foreign Languages - Nguyen Tat Thanh University participated in the “Eureka Scientific Research Students – 27th” Contest in the field of Educational Sciences, with the topic: “Game activities to improve comprehension skills for 3rd grade students according to the Chinese Language General Education Program.”
This is one of the prestigious scientific research playgrounds for students nationwide, creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their research capacity, academic thinking and ability to apply knowledge into educational practice.
The topic is related to teaching practice
Starting from the reality of teaching Chinese at the elementary level, the research team chose an applied approach, focusing on building a system of learning game activities to improve comprehension skills (language reception) for 3rd grade students.
The topic does not stop at theory but also proposes specific game models, suitable for age psychological characteristics, contributing to increasing interest in learning and improving the effectiveness of language acquisition in the new general education program.
Choosing the field of Educational Sciences shows the interest of Chinese Language students in future teaching directions and curriculum development.
A journey of effort and maturity
Sharing about her journey to participate in Euréka 2025, group representative – student Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen – said:
“Euréka is not just a competition, but a place where we learn how to believe in ourselves, how to listen and appreciate our fellow travelers.”
During the process of implementing the project, the team spent many nights editing content, perfecting the poster, adding data and completing the research report. Each comment and each edit is an opportunity for members to perfect their research thinking and academic skills.
The group expressed their deep gratitude to the instructor, who dedicatedly accompanied, professionally oriented and supported the group throughout the process of implementing the project. Besides, there is the enthusiastic support of teachers, friends and relatives who have always encouraged, voted and cheered the group’s spirit.
Thanh Tuyen further shared:
“No matter the outcome, being able to accompany, learn and experience together – that is a very beautiful thing.”
Marking the scientific research spirit of NTTU students
By boldly participating in the Euréka Competition, the class of 2023 demonstrated a proactive research spirit and readiness to face academic challenges. This achievement reflects the core training orientation of the Chinese Language Department: “real learning, real practice, real application.” Students not only master the language but also effectively apply their knowledge to educational research and practice.
Although the Euréka 2025 journey is just one milestone, it leaves a lasting impression on their student years. Sleepless nights, endless report revisions, and the anxious wait for results have shaped a passionate and meaningful youth.
