English Language Study training program (code: 7220201) is one of four training program which was recognized by AUN-QA international standard – which ensure the quality of ASEAN universities system.

Faculty of English Study is a faculty, which does the research in linguistics, help learners use English fluently in social, cultural, business, commercial, financial, travelling, diplomatic and international relation. English, the international language, gives the youth many opportunities in career from foreign language pedagogy, translation and interpretation, marketing, external economics, banking, integrated tourism with foreign business.

Training objectives

  • To equip language knowledge such as phonology, vocabulary, grammar, context, culture – civilization of the English-speaking countries to ensure the nature using from target language to the exact expression of meaning in source language. Hence, the specialist knowledge of pedagogy styles, translation and interpretation and business in English could help students orient themselves towards future career;
  • Proving knowledge of communicating skill, presentation, group working, analysing and solving problems quickly to help effective working in specialist field; practicing learning skill effectively, enhance knowledge and ability to practice language, be creative and ability to do research about language, culture or culture – civilization of the English-speaking countries.

  • Educational staffs were trained from abroad countries, such as England, Australia, America, New Zealand, etc. have professional qualifications and have real experience with lecturers from ESL countries in the training process;
  • Students can pick one from three specialist, such as, (i) Business English; (ii) English translation and interpretation; (iii) English Pedagogy, as their main major to participate in international integrating labour market;
  • Students can enrich their knowledge and strengthen their skills when studying at international-standard smart classrooms. Additionally, they have opportunities to practice at companies, schools and presses, diplomatic service from the central to the local.
