YOUTH – A FAREWELL TO SCHOOL

Youth is the most beautiful, radiant, yet fleeting period of our lives. And for high school seniors, that youth is deeply intertwined with blackboards, chalk dust, rushed lessons, shared laughter during recess – all forming unforgettable memories under the school roof.

Each summer and blooming phoenix flower signals another farewell. The benches, the schoolyard, the classroom hallways – simple corners that now feel strangely dear. The things we once took for granted, even found boring, are now what we find ourselves missing the most.

School youth isn’t just about studying – it’s about growing up. It’s the first time we truly tried for a real goal. It’s the sweaty yet joyful school clean-up days, the stern but loving guidance from teachers, the shy friendships and clumsy crushes. All of it weaves into a youth that is complete and unforgettable.

Student life is the purest and most innocent phase of life. We sat side by side, whispering dreams, writing clumsy yet heartfelt words in each other’s notebooks. Someone once said:
“Youth is like a summer rain. Even if you catch a cold, you still want to experience it again.”
The rain of school days may be short, but it soaks deep into the heart.

During the recent graduation and gratitude ceremony at Tay Thanh High School, many moments moved hearts. One such moment was the heartfelt speech by Thai Mac Tuong Vi, a student from class 12A5. Her words spoke for so many students preparing to leave their school behind: full of nostalgia, gratitude, and hope. That feeling – of leaving a place that raised us – is something countless students around the country are experiencing this season.

We will each walk our own paths, chasing dreams and facing new challenges. But no matter where life leads us, a part of our youth will always belong to the school we once called home. Because this was not only a place where we learned facts, but a place where we learned to be human – through experiences, emotions, and bonds.

The day of farewell is nearby. Yearbooks, farewell notes, graduation pictures – all are our ways of holding onto something from our school days. Let’s live fully in these final moments, so one day we can look back and say: “I once had a youth that was truly beautiful.”
