But beyond the fun, Halloween presents a unique opportunity: <strong>the chance to learn language through culture<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Halloween originated from the <strong>ancient Celtic festival of Samhain<\/strong>, when people believed that on October 31st, the boundary between the living and the dead became blurred. Over centuries, it evolved through Christian influence and turned into the modern Halloween we know\u2014filled with costumes, jack-o\u2019-lanterns, candy, and a touch of spooky charm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Beneath the surface of fun and fright, Halloween holds <strong>rich cultural meanings<\/strong>. From Western perspectives on life and death, to ghost stories, mysterious characters, and symbolic decorations, it provides a <strong>living context for language learners<\/strong> to engage with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 115%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Language learning is not only about vocabulary and grammar. It\u2019s also about <strong>understanding and interacting appropriately within a cultural framework<\/strong>.
